very itchy facial bumps - HELP!!!

Hi!

I am hoping someone can help me figure it out or if somebody has the same issue... i am in my mid 30's married mom to 2 young girls - had few to moderate issue w/ acne during my teenage years (got better after mid 20's).

Here it goes, I noticed this event everytime i attempt to exfoliate my face with heavier alternative (aha/glycolic acid peel/ etc) - i am attempting to have a supple, youthful, even tone skin and lessen wrinkle appearance. I develop a very itchy bumps (initially it's red - the next day it's just raised bumps). I do understand that stinging sensation will be noted, but after 2-3rd attempt of the treatment this bumps starts and on one specific part of my face (Right lower side of mouth/jaw/cheek area). Is this a rash? adult acne? rosacea? parasite? But how come it's just on one spot? This recent outbreak (very itchy bumps) started when i added over the glycolic 5% cream a moisturizer because it started to sting and that was the instruction (may put over it to help out with the stinging/burning sensation) and this is the olay total effect moisturizer (which is been my moisturizer for almost 6months). Did it happen because of the combination of both? Can i get back to the treatment - maybe it's a normal reaction? Why just on the same spot all the time (it's not even on the T-zone)? Is the treatment too drying - that's why this breakout's happen? why so itchy - fungal type itching on and off though - not constant (means when itching started very bad)?

Any inputs is highly appreciated. I am very desperate for any help. Thank you in advance.

addendum: i'll post picture if this might help - just let me know.

Hi,

Using a steroid cream usually would help resolve the symptoms but you need to find out the cause too, and whether this is the appropraite treatment.

It would be advisable to consult a skin specialist for your symptoms and a proper clinical examination.

Let us know if you need any other information and post us on how you are doing.

Regards.

thanks for the input.

by the way, calamine didn't work. i used my daughter's (6months old) emergency cortisone cream (she have severe eczema until now but so far controlled with eucerin cream). the right side spot started to get better, unfortunately the left jawline is the one's acting up (raised bumps - very itchy), i have some few bumps in L cheek and forehead as well but not as bad itch on my Left jawline.

i actually see very good result from this cream for just 2 days of use - back to back days (which i think i should have used it once a week first) and i shouldn't have added my moisturizer on top of it, huh. so, if this resolve can i try the cream back (with appropriate usage)? what do you think? my face now is clearer/supple except of course the itchy bumps.

thanks again.

Hi,

This could be an allergic reaction to some unknown substance or dermatitis.

You need to wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products on his face and use a medicated sunscreen whenever you go out.

Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions and see if it helps. You could also take oral antihistamine medications for your symptoms if required.

Nothing can be said with surety about the diagnosis without having a look at the lesions.

It would be advisable to consult a skin specialist for your symptoms and a proper clinical examination.

i forgot... my race is asian by the way, i am not sure maybe that's why the bumps aren't red because of my olive skin color (that info might help).
