weird looking lump

Um Recently I noticed a bumpon the skin above my penis.  I thought i was just imaginig it but it's been growing i belive. I dont know if it is has somethig to do with the fact that I hadnt shaved all my pubic hair of recently. Iv tried to pop it a couple of times and it hurts alot. I beived it was a pimple so i had bee wating for it to grow to where it could be "popped" but as it grows it hurts. Can you telllme whats happening

It can be due to folliculitis or boils. Keep the area clean and apply some warm compresses and topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics.

Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
