what are these hard lump type spots on my forehead

Hi I wonder if you could help me for about a year now I have reoccuring hard lump like spots on my forhead and occaisionally on my cheeks and temples. I have tried all kinds of cream and regular exfoliating but nothing works. I have also tried squeezing them. In some nothing comes out, but in others after a lot of diging and squeezing eventually I get a hard white lump of stuff, comes out, not round but egg shaped. They seem to be really deep beneath my skin, and if I leave them they stay the same and never turn in to proper zit type spots. My skin looks all lumpy and horrible especially when i put on make up they stand out more. please help thankyou Madmaria42.

Hello,
By testosterone I mean the increase in testosterone in the body. Apply warm compresses on the bumps and consult a doctor and get these possibilities ruled out.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hi Bhupinder
thank you so much for your advice, I really appreciate it. I developed a rash of small white lumps just on the tops of my forearms about the same time but these will actually squeeze and white paste comes out of those. But they are now going away. Just as fast as they came which is weird are these the same thing?
Also what testosterone containing products could i be using? do you mean internally by mouth as in tablets or medication or in a cream of some sort?
Sorry I am asking a lot of questions. Kind regards Maria

Hello,
From the symptoms it looks like sebaceous cysts. A sebaceous cyst is a closed sac occurring just under the skin which contains a "pasty" or "cheesy" looking substance called keratin. They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, and upper arm, are common sites for sebaceous cysts. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause such cysts.

Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected,Then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
