what chemicals can cause skin hives ?

by joyb29, Oct 12, 2009 08:39AM
I have been experiencing severe skin hives for the last 12 days starting every morning when I wake up.  I had a pest control company come to spray the outside perimeter of my house and some places inside.  The next day is when the skin hives started. They're raised, itchy, and varied in size. I have been using Benadryl every morning and it does help.  I am a very healthy person and have never been allergic to anything in my whole life.  I have 3 dogs that come in and out from our backyard.  I am afraid that I am allergic to whatever chemicals are used in the pest control spray.  This is the first time we have had pest control at our house.  I am the only one being affected by this and I am trying to figure out what is causing this reaction.  I have tried to rule out different foods with no luck. Can you please shed some light on this matter?  Thank you very much for your time.
