what is this?

Hello, so here is my situation:

1) In April of this year, I noticed a few spots underneath my forskin when i pulled it back (fernelum) I believe.  The girl I was with at the time got tested in Early January with everything negative.  It was red and looked irritated.  The redness continues to this day, and now around the base of the head, on the ridge, it is sometimes even purple.  I have also noticed a few little bumps on the base of the head in a line.  I showed this to my derm. and she said it was penile papules.  It has been present for about a month.  The redness also fluctuates, if i have an erection it is more prominent.  I showed this to my doctor in about May and he said we will check it out.  Got it cultured and got all other STI testing and he said there was some yeast in the culture, and all the tests came back negative.  My worry is that it is herpes since we took the blood test only a month or so after the last possible exposure.  I would have tingling and itching in the groin area, but only I think when I would think about it, so I am not sure if it is anxiety related.

2) About two weeks ago I showed my doctor again because I said the redness has not gone away.  He looked at it and said there is nothing there transmissible, and he thinks I have some coagulation in the area?

3) Just last night, I noticed 1 small red dot on the head of my penis.  After my second visit to my doctor about 2 weeks ago, I became sexually active again knowing that the redness was just coagulation and my doctor said the best thing to do is not think about it.  So what is this 1 red dot now?  Thanks a lot for your time.

This doesn't sound like herpes.  I think you should accept your doctor's reassurance and move on.  If you remain anxious, have the herpes test repeated in 2 more months.  Then ignore the red spots.

Take care.

i should clarify the little red spot.....it is tiny, like size of a pin head, and is not raised from what i can tell......tonight now i kinda have to look to notice it, where last night and earlier today i could see it easily.......is this just another papule that is irritated?  could it be blood underneath the surface of a papule?  i have been worried to death since April that I have herpes.......thanks for your time Dr.

It may be irritated or just a variant of normal.
