what is this?

about 6-7 months ago, i was under alot of stress, i had a sexual encounter with someone i did not know while i was out of town, i only allowed a hand to penis connection with some kind of oil, no kissing, and sex with a condom due to i did not know them, crazy and i will never do it again but, about 4 days after my penis got like a very red rash and felt hot at times, it really hurt when water hit it in the shower, and medicated powder seemed to help but the skin still peeled about the size of a quarter on the head, during this time i also got very dry chapped lips, with chapstick went away in about a week and have had no more chapped lips, and a what the doctor says looks like broken blood vessells in one spot on my face cheek which is still there and he says is nothing to worry about, but this whole time the ring around the head of my penis is a purpleish color, it looks like the skin is torn and will not heal, head is sometimes red and sometimes not, and i can notice a few small bumps , not blisters or anything, and if i masturbate it feels hot and afterward looks like dry silky skin right behind the head on the shaft, after reading all the std stuff, i think i am worring myself into body and muscle aches, stress!!  i just went to the derm dr again, he said theres nothing to the bumps and it still looks like broken blood vessels on my face in that one spot, and the purple cplor of my head that the skin wont heal on just looks like broken skin and blood vessells broken. looking through the different stds, yeast infection pictures on the penis looks like what i had, is there a remedy??  he gave me some naftin gel, but i cannot tell if it is working yet, any ideas??  what do the chapped lips have to do with it?? and the spot on my face, i am sure it is not a coincidence, it all has to be relative.can the stress from worring make you feel like you have muscle aches, back aches??? could it be something else???   suggestions are welcomed!!!

veryconcerned123, that was really eloquent.  I did just what you did.  Some earlier post mentioned pain of 1 on a 1-10 scale, I had that.  Every twinge of the arm, every little zit on me was proof I had something, any new zit on my wife or anyone I ever knew had to be my fault, because I had unwittingly given them an incurable disease, now it was all my fault forever.  The panic made me feel like I always had to go to the bathroom, but only a drop would come out.  Whenever I went to the doctors, and I went to several, they'd say -- 'Stress can do it, and is doing it, because you are clean as a whistle.  Why won't you trust us?'  But my guilt and fear wouldn't let me.  Even now it is hard to let go of those negative feelings, I've harbored them for over two years.  But I am trying.  It is so helpful to come here every now and then and read this site where others have had similar worries and then start getting them resolved.  I don't know, I guess I had this stupid image of bodies as like machines or toy dolls or something, never changing unless something was terribly wrong, and not much variation.  I had no idea until coming here just how many different ways things could be that were still in the normal range.   Good luck everybody.

I know where you are coming from. I have done the same thing before. I would think that it would be very unlikely to catch an STD from the way you describe the situation.

Now as far as stress causing your symptoms. From my own personal experience it can.  The more you freak out about it, the more you are going to have symptoms. Believe me I know from my own experience.

Go to the doctor get yourself checked and take "Yes" for an answer when he tells you that you are okay and don't have an STD and then take "No" for an answer when he tells you that you don't have anything.

I convinced myself that I had every STD there was.  If anything out of the ordinary happened to my body I was convinced that it was STD related. (Not True). I think your chapped lips and the spot on your face or just what you think they aren't (Coincidence).

When things are normal in our lives and we aren't concerned with our health, especially an STD, things happen to our bodies and we think nothing of it b/c it doesn't mean anything then, or now, but b/c we have done something risky that could possibly cause us to catch an STD the thing that last week meant nothing means everything today.

Reading on the net will only make you more afraid. And there are a few that post here that will insist you have an STD.  Don't listen to anyone but a Doctor, which of course I am not. I am just a guy like you that used to do stupid things, but after I got the **** scared out of me 15 months ago it won't happen again.

I got tested for everything including HIV after I briefly received oral at a massage parlor. I am totally fine NOW. Until I finally accepted it I had numerous aches and pains that were all stress related.

If you aren't careful before long you will be a basket case.

I am willing to bet that you are either married or in a serious relationship.  The guilt of cheating, and the fear that you could harm your loved one with an STD has overwhelmed and paralyzed you with fear.

Do yourself a favor. Go ahead and get tested for everything if you think you must and when the results come back negative let it go!!!!!!!!

You sound like you have learned your lesson. I know I sure have. I will never go those type of places again.

I wish you luck my friend.

Stress can indeed cause aches.  I can't think of any connection with chapped lips.  The purplish color of the penis is probably normal.  Most if not all the symptoms sound like worry, not STD.  Naftin won't work if it isn't a yeast infection, as I believe it isn't.

Please get whatever reassurance it will take to assure you that you don't have anything.

Best.
