what is this

history about myself before we get started, I am sexualy active no prior stds, i have acne and Psoraisis. a moderate drinker, and an ex smoker. i started useing oxy face wash which tends to dry out my entire face. includeing my lips.

however i slept with a friend of mine last thursday, sense then i had a bump on my lip, was worried it was a cold sore but was more likely from me biting my lip because it went away with in a day. nothing suspisious for a for days.

then this morning after useing my facial wash, i noticed white bumps underneith my lower lip, were my lips tend to dry out.
the way i see it im probably freaking out over nothing and they are just hair folicals,

but i would like to know ur opinion on this, cold sore, dried out lip, or hair folicals, either way im seeing a docotor on thursday and a demotologist on the following tuesday.

lol thx for the help! saw a doctor today who told asked if i had been eating spicy foods recently. indeed a few days before the spots appeared i had eaten a basketful of the hotest hot wings Buffalo wild wings makes and was left stranded for a good while by my waitress with out napkins or drink lol.

so leave it to me to be a hypocondract (suck at spelling i know) so ill keep posted if this turns out to be correct.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms that you have described,it can be hair follicles or Fordyce spots.Fordyce spots are small yellowish-white granules on the inner surface and border of the lips.

Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
