what should i do

I have what I think is severe acne.  I am a 22 year old white male and I get the red pimples on my forhead, chest, back, but mainly on my shoulders.  I also get the whiteheads(correct term?) on my face and shoulders, sometimes on my penis, and maybe every couple of months I might get one in my armpits.  Sometimes they itch, if I pop them then they bleed very little then they are ok.  I have been using Neutrogena Body Wash and that helps it some, but cant get rid of it completely.  If I need a prescription for this, what is safe to use?  Or should i try Neutrogena Body Wash with the grit like stuff in it(I don't know what it is called unless I look at the bottle)

I think what you should do is see a dermatologist, to check whether these are acne or just clogged pores.  Certainly, the bumps on your penis are not acne.  You may be able to limit the bumps, but I think you are going to find out that some of the bumps are a normal part of skin, and you will have to learn to live with them.

Best.
