For at least 5 years or so, i know its drastic, i've had little white bumps on penis around skin on scrotum, shaft, and head of penis, more along the base of head, and 1st years i would get small open soars that eventually went away but had caused me small pain if they where irritated, and i actually remember getting a yellow discharge upon ejaculation, but never got that again. besides the fact that i dont have health insurance, i am afraid or either dont know were to go, or am worried what doctor will say, ive had blood tests for various viruses but came up cleen, i need help, this is ruining my life. right now it seems to be in a dormant state, my penis is normaly irritated and itchy, i dunno what i have and its starting to make my life hard, i need to see a doctor and plan too when i get the money, but would you know what i might have? i believe i got this from having un protected anal sex, and didnt cleen up good afterwards

Hi,

With your significant sexual history an infectious process is definitely a differential. This sounds like a fungal infection. Fungal infections may present with redness, itchiness, some degree of weeping and scaling. Are these symptoms present in your case? Fungal infections when not managed well may be persistent and recurrent. In fact, even when using medications these type of infections may not readily resolve.

Keeping the area dry and clean at all times as well as washing with bland and mild cleansers may be able to help.Other diferentials will be a contact dermatitis which in most cases, may also be persistent and recurrent given exposure to the right triggers.

Without knowing the exact diagnosis,it may be difficult to ascertain the right medication for managing your condition.I suggest that you have a primary physician check on this.Corticosteroids may not be advisable if there are several open lesions in the area.
