Hello,
You need not have any tests but if you still want then you should get a complete STD panel done because STD’s like Chlamydia are mostly asymptomatic in males. The only way of ruling it out is by getting yourself tested for genital herpes. Laboratory tests include: culture of the virus, direct fluorescent antibody (DFA) studies to detect virus, skin biopsy, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to test for presence of viral DNA. I sincerely advise you to consult a dermatologist and get it ruled out.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. Hello,
If no sores or blisters have appeared after the burning and tingling sensation then chances of std like herpes are less.
It can be dermatitis (atopic, contact, allergic), heat rash or excessive sweating causing sweat dermatitis.
You may try calamine lotion on the rash. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid deodorant / cosmetics. You can also use a barrier cream with zinc oxide paste applied directly to wet skin after bathing.
If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
