white line on my left eyelid
i have all of a sudden developed a white line across my left eyelid, my mum had the same.. what could cause this

How are you? What other symptoms are present? If there was no history of trauma, the white line could be physiologic or pathologic in nature. While the lid margin is divided into ciliary and lacrimal portions and the margin of the ciliary portion which carry the lashes is formed by the grey and white lines, this should be checked by an eye specialist for proper evaluation especially if your mom also have this. Direct clinical examination is important. Take care and do keep us posted.
