Unfortunately the description is not enough to pinpoint a diagnosis but it can be pityriasis versicolor, idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis or vitiligo. Pityriasis versicolor is caused by a fungus that lives in the skin of almost all adults. Factors that can cause the fungus to become more visible include high humidity and immune or hormone abnormalities.

Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder in which melanocytes (the cells that make pigment) in the skin are destroyed. As a result, white patches appear on the skin in different parts of the body. Idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis is 2 to 5-mm flat white spots found on the shins and forearms. It can be due to sun damage or ageing (aging).

To confirm the diagnosis please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
