white spots on lower legs

I have small, irregular white spots on my lower legs, mostly outer calves but also knees & upper thighs. They stand out the most when I am standing or sitting in a chair. They disappear when I have my legs up in the air, when lying down. When I massage them while standing, they disappear for about 10-20 seconds and gradually reappear. Also beginning to see faint ones on upper arms. Could this be tinea versicolor? Some of the pictures & symptoms resemble what I have. I haven't had a lot of sun exposure in past, am generally pretty white but these spots still stand out. Or does it sound more like a circulatory problem? I am 26, a smoker (working on quitting), not the best immune system or circulation. Any insights would be helpful as I try to narrow down and find a treatment.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Since the white spots disappear when you elevate your legs, so it looks like some vascular problem rather than tinea versicolor which is persistent with any change in position of limb. I suggest you to consult a doctor and get an examination and if need arises a Doppler ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
