wierd rash

about 7 months ago I developped a wierd rash on the lips of my genitals, it's basically just white bumps covering the intire lips. I've gone to my teen help center but none of the doctors could figure out what it is, they told me it could be a yeast infection, so I took caneston, but it didn't help. It's normally only painfull during my menstruations, the lips get red and inflammed, all other times it's quite itchy. I am not sexually active. please help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to folliculitis, fungal infection or Fordyce spots. If you are sexually active then sexually transmitted diseases need to be ruled out. For itching take antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and wear cotton clothes. You can also apply calamine lotion on the rash. It will help in soothing the skin. A mild corticosteroid cream will also help but it should be used under a dermatologist’s guidance.
If the symptoms persist then please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
