i had itchy vessicles throughout my legs that were in lines, therefore assuming i had poisonAmmonia poisoning Campylobacter enteritis Contact dermatitis E. coli enteritis Food poisoning Lead poisoning Meningococcemia Methylmercury poisoning Poison control center - emergency number Poison ivy - oak - sumac Poison ivy - oak - sumac rash ivy. also, having a severe itch behind my right kneeAnterior cruciate ligament (acl) injury Anterior knee pain Bursa of the knee Dermatitis, herpetiformis on the knee Knee arthroscopy Knee arthroscopy - series Knee joint replacement Knee joint replacement prosthesis Knee pain Kneecap dislocation Meniscus tears, appearing to have formed a patchAllergy testing Skin color - patchy with outer ring to it. the nurse practictioner prescribed me prednisone after a week of sleepless, itchy nights. i had a two weeks supply and after about a week and a half on prednisone, the poison ivy rash began to fade with oozing vessicles and the ceasing of the awful itchiness. then suddenly another severely itchy rash began to come up around my abdomen and trunk area, and what appeared to look like a scratch on the bridge of my nose and against a line on my outer right nostril (now sort of crusting). so again, i see a nurse practictioner who believes its a fungal rash caused by my steroid treatment/immune system overload. so i was told to get ween off my prednisone a 3 days before i was to complete my cycle and prescribed me fexofenadine (ie. allegra) . my abdomen has been doing much better after 3 days on fexofenadine but the rash continues to spread slowly, appearing on my neck.
all the while being off prednisone, tiny little clear blisters have been popping up on my hands, wrists, and arms. they're itchy, but able to resist the urge. they only pop up as one blister, not in clusters. although i accidentally popped one, treated as a wound with a bandage and neosporin and a blister formed right next to it.
and as for the rash on the back of my knee, it appears to be spreading slightly. the skin feels leathery and along some of the border it's red and that can be itchy and irritating when trying to sleep. there's this one patch that kind of looks like ringworm but im not clear whether ringworm itches.
so ive done extensive research trying to find out what is wrong with me. ive been relatively healthy for all my life and dont take drugs at all for headaches or colds, so this drug thing is new to me.
since the end of july ive been on a cocktail of different drugs and creams: cortizone, calamine, aveeno baths, benadryl, loratadine, zyrtek, prednisone, fexofenadine (not all at once obviously). and my insurance doesn't kick in until september since i just moved. i need help, any advice would be great. i havent had fevers or headaches at all during this time, just constant itching and sleep deprivation!
