wrinkled fingers

im asking this on behalf of my partner, most people including myself get wrinkled fingers after being in water for a long amount of time but my partner's hands are different! he only has to put his hands in water for up too 5 mins (usually takes less time) and his fingers are completely wrinkled but too the point where it actually looks like the skin is peeling away from his nails!!! its very sore for him and can only endure it for a small amount of time due to the pain! i no it sounds weird but im generally quite worried about it! they take along time to go back to normal after!!! why does this happen? is it normal or common? is there anything that can be done to stop or reduce the effects? he is embarrssed about this condidtion and stops him from doing many things!!! any info or help would be fantastic!

Wrinkling of the fingertips is completely normal after dipping your hands in water and there is nothing wrong with it. There is nothing to worry about. Just ask your partner to keep his hands well moisturized and pat them dry after dipping in water.
