yeast infection? worse?

yeast infection? worse?

A little over a week ago I developed a red itchy rash on my penis (head area) but also my foreskin was extremely sensitive and often itchy. Needless to say, I am an uncircumsized male.

I used Hydrocortizone which didn't do much and then Lotrimin (believing it was fungal related) and also gold bond powder which seemed to help a bit.

I then had a couple of days where it seemed to clear up.

It came back this morning though. Redness around head. Not as much itching (in fact, not any at all) but a lot of really small pimples with what appears to be white heads. Also had a little "milky stuff" and a bit of a bad smell too this morning which I think developed last night (noticed it while I urinated but no pimples at that point).

Is this a yeast infection or something worse? I started using Monistat this morning but no improvement so far.

I'm just becoming worried because I now have a small cut on the inner side of my foreskin. I'm thinking / hoping that it's due to applying a number of different creams etc (making it sensitive) and also constantly pulling back on my foreskin, checking to see if the situation is getting any better.

Thanks for the help and advice!

It is very good that you are observant about your clinical status, but random therapy you have been using so far is not a solution.

For a patient with symptoms you listed it is recommended to exclude sexually transmitted infections first (e.g., Urethritis gonorrhoica, Chlamydia trachomatis infection, Urethritis mycoplasmatica, Trichomoniasis, Candidiasis, etc.).

The earlier the cause is determined, the earlier it can be successfully treated, and your worries will be gone.
