yeast infection

i got a fungal or Candida or yeast infection in my penis in year 2004 . first a white rashes come  with great itching  on fore skin of penis after two or three day it becomes red. I use getelene plus ointment to cure this problem . But its recurring .I ma afraid that it will be treated completly or not.

Candida infection is a fungal infection and specific antifungals are required for its treatment.You can try any of the topical antifungals like topical clotrimazole, topical nystatin, fluconazole or topical ketoconazole.Also keep the skin dry and wear cotton undergarments.If the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist as oral antifungals may be needed.
