Hello,
You can use the topical antifungals for 7-10 days or till the symptoms completely subside. If the cream is discontinued too soon, the infection may not be eradicated, and the rash will return. Also pls inform your PCP or dermatologist if the symptoms worsen.

I hope that helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.

Hello,
Extina is ketoconazole2% which is an antifungal drug. You can try for any other antifungal like Nizoral etc which are available over the counter, but pls call up your dermatologist first and inform him/her.Also usually infections in the belly button area are fungal in origin and so antifungals are the best treatment. I would suggest oral antifungals if the symptoms persist.

I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted.
