Alcohol smell on breath

When there is a person who appears to be "drunk" or "under the influence", however, it is known that the person does not drink alcohol.  Are these the symptoms, or could they be for a hypoglycemic diabetic (too little sugar) or is it a too much sugar, diabetic, hyperglycemic?
Please advise, I have looked up but cannot find, however, if my memory serves me correctly I seem to have in mind the former, too little sugar. Which if not treated can lead to a coma, usually those suffering from this carry sweets with them, is that correct.

Did you post the subject matter "Alcohol smell on the breath" to get attention for you mention nothing about it? I almost ignored your post but decided to reply.

"I have looked up but cannot find," Where did you look? Not very far for I Googled "low blood sugar coma" and came up with 664,000 hits. http://tinyurl.com/38ksnt

The following are the most common symptoms of hypoglycemia. These could be construed as drunkeness to some people.  However, each individual may experience symptoms differently.

    * shakiness
    * dizziness
    * irritability
    * clumsy or jerky movements
    * difficulty paying attention, or confusion

Extremely low blood sugar can induce a coma.

"there is a person" needs to see a doctor asap and get their glucose tested. If 'this person' has experienced the symptoms you mentioned, the next one may be their last.
