Byetta-Janumet-Onglyza

Byetta-Janumet-Onglyza

I am currently on Janumet 50/1000 and Byetta 10mg  twice a  day.  It's been controlling my diabetes well.  However, I would like to try Onglyza as a substitute for one (preferably Byetta because of convenience when dining out & carrying the pen & needle) or both.

What would be the efficacy of going to Onglyza alone or Onglyza & Janumet  over my current regimen?

What other regimen  would work?  Onglyza & Metaformin 1000?

Thanks, Larry

I don't know if there is anyone here who can answer such a specific medical question. (Unless someone just happens to have been on the same meds). I suggest you talk it over with your doctor or endo. My own instinct? I can understand the desire for convenience however diabetes can be such a tricky little character that my feeling is "if it's not broken (you are getting good results) don't fix it."
