Do skinny patients tend to be more symptomatic than overweighted patients?

Research has shown that diabetic patients who have normal weights tend to be correlated with higher comorbidity rate. By your experience and/or observation, do you find skinny patients tend to be more symptomatic than overweighted patients with similar diagnostic parameters?

Most definitely. Other parameters being equal, the thinner you are, the more symptomatic you become.

Other parameters being equal, there is no relationship between weights and the severity of symptoms shown.

No, the reverse is true. Other parameters being equal, the more overweighed you are, the more symptomatic you become.

I am not sure.

Hi there!

Well, though there have been a few studies correlating weight to blood insulin and sugar levels, the topic is still controversial and a positive or negative correlation is yet to be established. My best advice is to maintain a healthy weight within a BMI of 20-22.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!

I have lost 115lbs in the last year and I strongly believe I feel low or highs a lot more now than when I was heavier!
