Food Allergies and Diabetes

Have there been any studies on the correlation between food allergies and diabetes?  I was diagnosed with food allergies many years ago and have recently been diagnosed as prediabetic. I have noticed that my glucose level is higher on days when my allergy symptoms are worse.
