HBa1c

My recent HBa1c reading is 5.1.  During August 2012 it was 5.4.  The present FBs is 70 and PP is 75.  Are the readings normal.  Do I still come under pre-diabetic category

Your numbers appear within normal range now and not prediabetic.

To prevent diabetes progression / risk, avoid / minimise carbs and sweets, keep weight normal and undertake daily exercise.

Hope this helps.

According to the literature my doctor gave me with the American Diabetes Association's guidelines, an A1C under 6.0 is considered normal. From 6.1 to 6.4 is considered pre-diabetic. A reading of 6.5 or higher is considered diabetes. Hope this helps. You seem fine by these guidelines.

Your hbA1C readings appears  to be of non-diabetics' readings, however the only test, to me, that can determine if you are or not diabetic is the OGTT test. Good luck
