LOW Blood Sugar

LOW Blood Sugar

My Sugar never goes high, but will drop like a rock for no apparent reason. I am usually around 110ish when feeling good, then drop into he 60's and even 50's. I have have had it go as low as 34, and paramedics were amazed I was still conscious. When it drops I also get anxiety and panic.

All Doctors have told me is to eat frequent meals- Anyone else suffer from this?

When you state "All doctors" does this include an Endocrinologist, one at a major Nor Cal teaching hospital such as Cal Pacific, UCSF or Stanford? This is where medical experts teach and practice medicine. If you've been seeing an internal medicine doctor/s and/or primary care physician/s your issue is beyond their scope. Go see an Endo at one of the above hospital/s and get properly evaluated.

Eating frequent meals helps to prevent those crashes. Also suggest you carry glucose tablets or hard candies [not sugar free] with you in case a crash occurs. Eat one to elevate your blood sugar rapidly. Dropping below 60 is dangerous, down to 34 is life threatening. Good luck

Thanks- I was referred to one "Specialist" who told me he did not believe in Hypoglycemia as it was nothing more than a 'trendy' complaint in the 1970's. He said my readings, the EMT's Readings- have all been false lows as there was no way my Blood sugar could have been 34.. He'd only believe it if I went to a hospital lab when it gets that low and have it done there. Well, there is no way I can drive when it's low to get to a lab, or when EMT's show up, they have to treat me with glucose, so that gets him off the hook to do anything.

ER docs have told me small frequent meals, as I said. ANY Physical exertion makes it worse and drops the sugar right away. The weakness, dizziness, sweats, kick right in.
