Memory Fogged, what could be the cause?

A family member is type 2, lately his blood sugar seems fine, I think is, but his memory is getting fogged. I think it is the blood sugar not Alzheimer's. He goes to the doctor this week, is there anything that you think he should be check for ?

thank you

Hi from one Zoe to another! You say his blood sugar seems fine. Does he check when he is feeling foggy? If it is fine, or if his memory is foggy all the time and his blood sugar is always fine (between 100-140) then, it is unlikely to be his blood sugar. You don't say how old he is, or how foggy his memory is. Some memory loss is natural as we age-things like words or names occasionally elude us or we forget where we put things at times, but more than that should be checked by a doctor.
