.....when you get up in the morning your glucose is elevated somewhat to help you get going, its to help you get a kick start......exactly how high I can't say for a "normal" person, however they say 70-130 for diabetics. Some people are real high in the morning and sometimes need a little help to get it in the right area. Check with your doctor to know for sure.
