Recently diagnosed with Gastroparesis any suggestions?

by letsplay_66801, Dec 28, 2008 09:35AM
I recently had a Gastro Emptying Study completed and have been told I have Gastropaeesis.  The indrocronologist prescribed Reglan 3 times a day.  Has anyone got information on what this drug is supposed to do or any other information on type 2 diabettes complications?

Reglan oral or injectable? This is what you should do before taking Reglan (metoclopramide).

    * tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking, especially amobarbital (Amytal), insulin, narcotics (pain medications), phenobarbital, sedatives, tranquilizers, and vitamins.
    * tell your doctor if you have or have ever had an adrenal tumor; a seizure disorder; Parkinson's disease; high blood pressure; heart, liver, or kidney disease; a history of mental illness or depression; or an intestinal blockage or bleeding.
    * tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking metoclopramide, call your doctor.
