Type II D.

by JPMarie, Apr 12, 2009 09:05PM
Is it true that every time you get sick...maybe catch a cold...your numbers are going to be way off? I ask because I'm trying to catch up to what my Mom is experiencing with type II.

Last week it was low in the morning and then bizarro at night (my other sister did nothing). I actually came on her to see if I could google the answer and then just signed up. I will keep searching and maybe someone can "enlighten" me :)

Happy Easter & Passover

Your mother can spot a cold or flu before it really gets going. In almost every case I have gotten sick, my readings go up 20-30 points for no apparent reason.

I recently got my BG's in line and was doing great and then got the flu. Not extremely high but has been running between 135-170 throughout the day and while fasting. I was going to post a question about having the flu and if it is common to raise the numbers.

Looks like it may. I'll just keep monitoring and see if it gets better as I get over this flu. Thanks.
