blood sugar ????

blood sugar ????

I have not been told if i have diabetes but my Dr. told me to watch my blood sugar because im having symptoms of hypo. I notice my blood sugar at night between 2-3 am are over 120 and my fasting blood sugar in the morning is over 100. When i get the fealing of low it is around 80 and it will keep dropping. the last time it went to 67 and i had to eat some thing i couldnt wait. i had a cup of oj and checked in 15 min and it went to 137. I have also notice that i spike about 1 hour after eating and come down  around 2 hours after which is mostly in the 130. and i notice if i drink a can of pop. I can feal it rise it will go up to the 150-160 45 min later. i know my numbers are not high for diabetes but just want to know some in put. Also i have anima, low platlets, and i just had to get my gallblader (gallbladder) removed due to Acalculous Gallbladder Disease with no gallstone. my Dr. said he has no idea why i have any of these.

Your numbers are definitely in the pre'diabetes range, I{m not sure why your doctor hasn{t diagnosed you as such. The criteria for pre'diabetes is over 100 fasting or an A1C of 5.7. Diabetes is fasting of 126 or A1C of 6.5. Non'diabetics generally don{t go over 120 whatever they eat. You should get an A1C done. Being diagnosed pre'diabetic is a good opportunity to make some changes to stop or slow the progression to diabetes including losing weight if needed, reducing carbs and getting regular exercise.

My Dr. said that im to small to have typ 2. im 5'4 and weigh 106. he thinks there is no real concern. I wonder if there is a Dr. that works with blood i should go to instead since i also have anima, and low platlets.

I don't know anything about anima or platelets. This is a separate issue. Your doctor is wrong because small people CAN have Type 2. They can even more likely have Lada/1.5 which is a slow onset type 1. Get yourself tested for diabetes (A1C) as well as dealing with your other issues.

As I mentioned above, normal A1C is under 5.7. Anything between 5.7 and 6.4 is considered pre-diabetes, and 6.5 and over is considered diabetes.

Those of us who are already diagnosed diabetic (not sure if this is what you are asking) have varied goals. Many doctors are content with an A1C under 7.0. Most of us prefer to be around 6.0 to 6.5. Some people aim to be even lower, having " normal"  range A1Cs. This is possible, but hard work.
