diabetes insilun shots

okay here goes..ive been diagnosed as of 4 years ago with type 2 diabetes when i 1st found out i had it i worked so hard excersize everything...then i had a motorcycle wreck n the excersize came to a screeching halt...now 4 years later iam battling it im on a slide scale 3 times a day i went to my doctor hes taken me off the metformen i was taken 2000  mg a day and has now added another insilun to the factor so now what he wants me to do is take my 3 shots a day of the novolog then at bed time he wants me to take 20 units of Lantus he says this is a long acting insilun and can work with the novolog insilun...sounds scary to me 2 diff insiluns dunno.i take 4mg of ameryl with these 2 shots i sure hope this works...i dunno im all most ready to give up... anyone ever had to do this n is it safe to mix 2 insiluns thank you god bless Russ

I was on Lantus x 2 a day and Novalog x 3 a day.  However I am on the Insulin pump now.

well, its kinda safe ya know.. i even heard a lot of meds a doctor prescribing to the patient.. anyways, the doctor knwos best.. keep exercising.. be on track, take his advice and if u feel the opposite about it decline.. its ur choice if u r to trust ur doc or not.. well, he's the onyl one who can help u now except god.. but, finally ,i would say its ok.  i heard it being use in a day together.

My husband does the same as Bethie.  He's a type 1.  He was diagnosed 25 years ago.
