Didn't your doctor give you any treatment plan? Unfortunately, you don't get rid of diabetes, but you can control it with a combination of proper diet, exercise and perhaps some oral medications if you are Type 2. You need to get much more information and perhaps meet with a diabetic educator to figure out what will work for you. Good luck. This disease can be managed with knowledge and proper attention.
