does anyone know the symptoms of childhood diabetees?

by blue_eyes_72, Feb 27, 2007 12:00AM
I was reading up on childhood diabetees, my 7 year olds grandfather had type 1 then went into type 2. My son has the thinning hair thing going on, the dark circles under his eyes, and the dark leathery look around his neck. He is still a little over weight for his height. He lived with his father for a while and gained alot of weight. We are now down 30 lbs. If I am this concerned, should I ask his pediatrition to test him?

Definitely ask for a test. I'm not saying he has it because I really have no clue as I am not a doctor, but like you said..if you are worried then of course go and get a test just to make sure!

Good luck and I hope your son feels better! :)
