long term complications

I would just like to know what the relative risks are of having long term complications in type 1 diabetes if it is very well controlled.  Adn at what age do these complications being to appear/

If it is "very well controlled" the risk are minimal. If not controlled, the onset of diabetes complications has no age limit - young or old.
