if you are asking what happens in the body when insulin production is low? First we have to talk about what is normal process.  First our body requires glucose (sugar) in our body to function.  our brain can use sugar directly for energy.  sugar mostly comes from the food that we eat (something called carbohydrate).  we digest the food, in the small intestines, it gets absorb into the blood stream as glucose (sugar).  The pancreas is the organ that produces insulin and release into blood stream.  Insulin is a hormone that acts as a key to open the cells so the sugar can go into the cells as tranform into energy.   When the production of insulin is low, you will have sugar trapped in the blood stream.  when you test your blood sugar using the glucometer, the number you see reflects on how much sugar is trapped in the blood stream.  hope this is what you are looking for!  if you are looking for something more, please be more specific with your question.

I got a tooth removed and due to excessive pain I kept on taking Panadol tabs
and Amoxilin capsules for little more than a week. after 2-3 weeks later I got symptoms of diabetes and after regular checks I found it to be in the range of
11-14 readings on my testing meter.I never had diabetes, I had a bypass 3 years back and been to clinic every time ,never my blood sugar was so high.
Is there any treatment to overcome this situation? Please help me out, I am aged 66 and male

If you not following a proper diet plan, exercise and medication then your blood sugar level will get decrease and insulin production is low. At this time insulin will help to get an immediate results on the body.
