by kurbkrawler00, May 26, 2009 04:20PM
April 28 I was in Hospital from an infection I got,I donot know how or when it happened but my left 5th toe,was cut,and since Im diabetic my feet toes are numb and I didnot noticed pain...anyway I was in doctors office and I  asked him to look at it,my toe....He was upset at what he saw..my left 5th toe was cut severely to the point of seeing the bone, and was badly infected...I was imediately admitted into the nearest hospital and it was decided to amputate the toe...toe is gone, and after a few days I was discharged....16 days later my stitches were removed....now today after I showered I noticed my wound seemed to be open...seeping a discharge..there is no swelling ...but i did wrapped my foot..i see dr. in 4 days...should I be allarmed ?

Hi kurbkrawler00,

Go ahead and call your doctor now - he or she needs to go ahead and see you now since your incision has opened.

Hope you are doing better.
