:/ nervous

getting tested for gestational diabetes, my glucose thingy came up 149 and it's supposed to be bellow 130, any who the test is in a few days and I'm nervous. I trust in God that everything will be ok and that ill have a healthy son but I'd lie if i would say I wasn't a bit nervous :/

Hello,

don't get too anxious.  Even you do have gestational diabetes, it can be managed.  Avoid sweets and too much carbs also.  Follow up with your dr including any additional testing.

FYI, it is not normal for blood sugar to be high in pregnancy.  In fact, blood sugar is typically on the low side during pregnancy.

my test came back high and they requested i do the 3 hour test. before the 3 hour test i got admitted to the hospital and since I had not did the 3 hr test they automatically gave me insulin every time i was reading high.after getting out the hospital did the 3 hour test came back normal. No more insulin.... it will be ok. I over panicked

I was told our sugar runs higher while pregnant bc our baby needs sugar to grow.

My last pregnancy, I cried bc I tested my sugar and believed I had gestational diabetes. It was high and I freaked. Turned out I didn't have it. Test your sugar in the morning before eating. If it's normal your more then likely fine. If by chance you do have it...dont worry to much, your doctor's will teach you to eat right and youll have a healthy baby.
