Gestational Diabetes

This might be a dumb question, but I'm curious. If diabetes runs in my husband's family does that make it more likely for me to have GD? Biology is not my strong suit. My husband doesn't have diabetes, but his dad and two brothers do.

Not a dumb question! The answer is no, the father's family history didn't come into account with GD. I believe it does in the case of preeclampsia however.
