Pray for me

Diabetic, supposedly.
Blood sugar just dropped to 49.
Headed to the hospital.
Wish me luck and send positive thoughts, doctors office is extremely concerned.

Hi,

if you see a low blood sugar, there is no need to go to the hospital,  the correct thing to do is to take about 10 - 15 g of fast acting carbs (10 g of sugar, small glass of juice etc).  Test again in 15 - 20 minutes and you should see your sugars coming up.  You can then eat your next planned meal.

Alternatively if you see that low number and you were going to eat, then eat already.

make sure your monitor your blood sugar regularly so you can catch lows before they get too low.

Are you on meds?  Or just controlling with diet?

They sent me home with a level of 47 and told me nothing was wrong. Needless to say, I will not be returning to that hospital again.

Hope I doesn't get worst. I know it sounds silly but just try to relax you stressing and panicking will a keep your blood pressure up.

Thank you. Spiked to 142, from 37. Blood pressure is over the roof, and she told me they won't do anything because it's at an okay number right now.
