Watching your weight in between pregnancies...

Some recent studies have shown that weight gain that occurs in between pregnancies can increase your risk for gestational diabetes in the second pregnancy.  Some experts stress making sure that your at a healthy weight before TTC.  Are you worried about GD in future pregnancies?  Do you have plans to monitor your weight more closely after this pregnancy in order to reduce the risk?

Hi, if one has already had GD in 1 pregnancy their risk for GD in the next is very high.  Optimising weight is a key approach, as well as eating lower carb.

Early testing in the next pregnancy and close monitoring during that pregnancy is also key.
