I still have a treat every now and then.  My Baby shower was this weekend I had a very small piece of cake.  I keep fun size Hershey bars in the freezer anf may have one every few days.   Yesterday we had a party at work I had a slice of pizza and a huge salad and my numbers were perfect.   Later I had a very small piece of cake.   I work at treats into the carb count for that meal/snack time.   My nightly snack is 2 Graham crackers (Like the sheet) with about 2 tbsp of peanut butter and my fasting glucose numbers are fine.   But it's going to depend on how your body reacts.  You'll have to see how your numbers react to certain foods.

My diet really didn't change.  I eat pretty healthy to begin with.   My biggest change was the hospital I'm at doesn't want ladies with GD to eat fruit at breakfast time.  They say to keep breakfast and snacks between 15 and 30 grams of carbs and keep lunch and dinner below 45 g of carbs.   I eat 3 meals and 3 snacks a day and unless I easy something stupid then I maintain my blood sugar pretty well.   My Baby is measuring big but that's not always a definite I've met ladies with GD that went full term abs had 6 and 7 lb babies.  You do have an increase for high blood pressure and pre eclamsia (my levels have been perfect).
