glucose test

I go Wednesday for my glucose test and I'm a little scared. I don't do well with taste and texture and scared it'll mange more sick. Everyone says the orange is the best one but one of my girlfriends went last week and said the orange was awful and not to get it. Did anyone try a different flavor besides orange and is the drink a thick texture??

It wasn't terrible, tasted like a melted popsicle. I chugged it and it didnt make me sick. I was terrified it would cuz i still had bad HG at the time and others were saying it made them sick...my only suggestion is to stay away from anything else sweet for like 24 hours...my husband and i went to eat when test was done and i got a dessert...which i instantly regretted. I was fine with the normal food but the added sugar was just too much.

I had the fruit punch and totally agree with the Kool aid with too much sugar analogy. It wasn't terrible, wasn't thick or weird. I drank mine as fast as possible, but I haven't had problems with nausea

Usually between 20-25 weeks. It might just depend on your Dr.

I had the fruit punch too. It was fine. Just drink it quickly. It is definitely a lot better than people say. You will be fine :)

Fruit punch.  It tasted like someone added too much sugar to koolaid. I never felt nauseous until almost 45 minutes in... But I've had nausea most of my pregnancy so I wasn't surprised. It really wasn't bad.  :-). Good luck!

It's kind of like a melted freezie pop. It's a sugary syrup but not quite as thick as table syrup. My advice is take small sips and wait 5-10 seconds between sips. They give you 5 minutes to drink it, which is a lot of time. Even doing the small sips I finished in about 2.5-3 minutes. My friend chugged it and then after 20 minutes she barfed and had to do it again.
