20% of people fail the 1 hour test. I had to do the 3 hour test and was so scared, ended up being just fine. And all they will do for gestational diabetes is put you on a strict diet

I failed my 1hr sugar test and had to take the 3hr test but instead of my dr making me take the 3hr test he told me limit myself on sugar because he didn't want me to have a big baby

Well you need to first relax I failed my 1 hour and had to take a 3 hour which I though for sure I would past but I didn't so right now I have seen a dietitian and following a meal plan  and testing my sugar 4 times a day with a glucose monitor you just have to monitor not only your sugar intake but your carbs since carbs turn into sugar but you may not have to go through all this is your four hour comes back okay I'm 27 weeks almost 28 weeks so I have to do this for a while but if you keep your levels in normal range you won't have to go on insulin or medication and the baby is less at risk. Good luck
