My 7 yr old was dx'd in May of this year and we are still having high nightime readings. Her LantusLantus Lantus opticlik cartridge Lantus solostar pen has just been increased to 8 units on the 13th. Since then we have had 1 midnight reading over 400, 3 midnight readings over 300 and 4 midnight readings over 200. I cannot figure out a reason for these highs. I have watched her bedtime snacks to see if it's too much fat or something, but I can giver her the same snack on two different nights and get a good reading one night and she'll be over 300 the next time. Nothing makes sense. Anybody have any advice for us newbies?
thanks that helps. I know it can take a while to get a pump so we have already started the process of talking about it and finding out when the next classes are.
