715 paradigm minimed pump

I've had a problem with my pump's buttons suddenly weren't working, except the ACT button. I was pressing ESC and the arrow buttons, and it's like the pump wasn't responding to the touch at all. Has this happened to anyone else? Any explanations? It eventually stopped, and I'm praying that the pump will hang in there until I'm up for an upgrade. But, I'm afraid it might happen again. Thanks!
