ADHD and Type 1 Diabetes

by Dad2threeSuperKids, Aug 13, 2007 12:00AM
Where can I find information about children (11 y/o) with Type 1 Diabetes, on a pump, and concurrent treatment for ADHD with Adderall (adderrall) XR and/or Vyvance?

I am not a physician or a pharmacists, I would suggest that you contact the manufacture the different medications.  They might have information on how it would affect a diabetic especially the blood sugars.

We have done this with our daughters asthma needs,  we did not realized it but when she was having an asthma attach her blood sugars were going high and we could not  get them down, because we were giving her 20-25 carbs in medication that we were not blousing for.
