Are ARB's better than ACE inhibitors

Hello doctors and friends, I  am looking to  find out which of these two class of medication seems to work best in treating "High Micro albumin".  I have heard different opinions, like ACE inhibitors are better for diabetic patients than ARB class meds.  But for blood pressure its better to take ARB.  I know that ARB class meds are newer with less side effects, but are they really better in treating “High Micro albumin” and overall
Kidney protection.  My insurance covers both, so cost is not an issue at this point.  I have also been told that ARB is a newer and better way to go, but there are not that many studies to prove that.    Any information or opinions are welcome, so please let me know.
Thank You for your time.
