Child Blood Sugar 163

by KDobb, May 06, 2008 11:41AM
Hi, My husband is type 1 diabetic, as was his father.  His mom was a type 2 diabetic.  My 10 yr old daughter has recently lost 2 lbs for no reason, is very hungry and has developed a yeast infection, so I have been testing her blood sugar.  One morning, after fasting, it was 116, which is a little high, but several fasting tests later have been around 75.  Also, random tests have been 163, 143, 144, 69, 78, 95, and 141.  I have an appointment with my doctor, but do you think a glucose tolerance test is warranted?

Thanks
