Constant tiredness

I've only been a Type 1 Diabetic for 2 years now. It is impossible for me to wake up because I am so tired and end up oversleeping for an hour almost every day.If I am lucky enough to get up by 7,  by the time I get back from school at 4:30 I am exhausted. All I have to do is sit down to fall asleep without even intending to do so. Sometimes after school I sleep until 3 or 4 in the morning. After I wake up,I am ready to go back to sleep in 2 hours. I really need to be able to stay awake because  I have AP classes and tons of work to do. My blood sugars have been a little out of control the past year, but right now they are pretty stable. It doesn't seem to be a problem of blood sugar because I never get any of the other symptoms and I am tired when my blood sugars are stable like now. I used to only sleep until around 7pm after i got back from school, but now it is difficult to stay awake the duration of the school day. Also, my mom has had problems with her thyroid in the past.
