Do you think a pump would help??

My 7 yr old daughter is all over the map with her sugars most days. Low one minute than high the next, it can be maddening. We are still working on bringing her A1c down to an acceptable level. She is four months from dx and we are down to 8.1, but I don't see it getting better if she continues this way even with her Lantus being increased. I have read on the pumps and was wondering if you think a pump will help even her out? I'd love any feedback we can get. Thanks.

I am the mom of a type one diabetic that has been dx for 7 yrs and on a pump for 5.  It has helped us tremendously get our daughters blood sugars under control.  Even now that she is going thru puberty and we have rough spots. We have a better handle on it. If I see she is high at the same time 3 days in a row her DR and I make the adjustments needed.  On the pump we can adjust her basal rates up to every half hour so it gives you MUCH better control.
